Our client is a group of companies with operations across multiple entities and countries. We're looking for a detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Group HR team, with a focus on managing and tracking employment contracts across the group.
The role is based in Myanmar and works on a hybrid schedule, with set days in our MICT Park office in Yangon.
Key responsibilities
Contract review and administration
- Read and review existing HR contracts across the group, including full-time, part-time, fixed-term and independent contractor agreements
- Summarize key terms for each contract: start and end date, notice period, probation, compensation and renewal conditions
- Flag inconsistencies, missing information or contracts that need updating to Group HR
- Keep all contracts and related HR documents organized in digital files
Contract expiry and renewal tracking
- Build and maintain a central tracker of all individual contracts, with expiry and renewal dates for each person
- Send reminders to Group HR and relevant managers ahead of upcoming expiries (for example 60, 30 and 14 days before)
- Prepare renewal documents and follow up until renewals are signed and filed
- Track related compliance documents with expiry dates, such as work permits, residence cards and visas for foreign employees in group entities
General HR support
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding paperwork
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
- Support recruitment coordination: job postings, interview scheduling and candidate communication
- Help with attendance, leave records and payroll data preparation
- Coordinate with external HR, legal or immigration service providers when requested
- Handle other HR administrative tasks assigned by Group HR
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in HR administration or a similar role; fresh graduates with strong attention to detail are welcome to apply
- Good understanding of employment contract terms; familiarity with Myanmar labor law is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (tracking, filtering, conditional formatting, date formulas)
- Good written and spoken English; Myanmar language required
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working with teams across different countries and time zones
Nice to have
- Experience in a multi-entity or regional group
- Experience with HR software or an HRIS
- Exposure to work permit or visa processes in the region
